My Love of Family History
It all started with my grandmother!
Wonderful conversations about our family’s past set me on a path to develop a love of genealogy and family history as a young girl.
I was fascinated by the memorable moments her family experienced growing up in the Virgin Islands.
Inspired by her stories, I wiled away countless hours in the local library to uncover even more family secrets. What fun!
Having this passion early on helped me capture many of the stories that I now share.
The Inspiration for the Blog
Early in 2015, I attended one of the largest genealogy conferences in the world,
The conference buzz at Rootstech was all about the importance of preserving one’s family history through story-telling. Inspired by their message, I wrote and shared my first blog post!
A Moment with a Movie Star chronicled my mother’s chance encounter with the handsome movie star, Dana Andrews.
Since 2015, I’ve shared over 300 stories!
