If I could pierce the darkness now
And send my soul afar
I would not hesitate to bow
At some new distant star.
🌟
If I could live the years again
Still knowing the things I know,
I scarcely think I should remain
Content at overthrow.
🌟
But I have now to live and learn
And only now to tread
For cold tomorrow is not born
And yesterday is dead.
