In 1963, my grandmother commissioned Robert, or Captain Tortue as he was known, to create a map of all the lands her family owned.

Depicted on the 60-year-old chart were three elements regarding her family’s history that I believe hold a clue to solving a family mystery.

I think the inclusion of the pirate and treasure chest is a testament to the secret the Creque family has been keeping for over one hundred years!
