Vintage Stories from the Virgin Islands
Vintage Virgin Islands was created as a platform to share our family’s history and that of the Virgin Islands.
If you have an old photograph with an interesting story behind it, consider writing a short blog post to share with our community.
There’s at least one family historian in every family! 🙂
If we don’t make a concerted effort together to capture our stories, there’s a good chance they’ll be lost one day.
Too many photographs are left undocumented!
In many cases, they end up being passed to generations that have no idea of the events they captured.
Some even end up offered for sale online.
Your post can be as short as 300 words or as long as 1000 if you have a big story and a few photos to go with it.
I can include a short bio at the end with a link to your blog or website if you like.
If you’re interested in participating, I’d love to hear from you.
Take a look at Dr. Dante Beretta’s post about his great grandfather to get an idea for your submission.
It’s really easy and lots of fun!
