ย Can you name the National Flower of the US Virgin Islands?
It’s the Yellow Cedar!
Sometimes it’s called Ginger Thomas, but its official name is Tecoma Stans.
Growing up, we referred to this shrub as the Yellow Trumpetbush because of the shape of the flowers.
They formed beautiful clusters like a bouquet.
We used to pop the buds against our foreheads for fun just to be silly.
The sound always made us laugh.
Those were the days when we found enjoyment outside in nature.
If you’re looking for a unique gift for a friend, aย journal is available that honors the floral history of the islands.
It’s great forย capturing your ideas, thoughts or to-do lists.ย
