Larry Gluck, Artist
Larry Gluck created some of the most captivating scenes of the Virgin Islands on canvas!
On a well deserved vacation in 1961, he and his wife, Sheila traveled to St. Thomas where they fell in love with paradise. Β
Larry began painting and explained, “it was only watercolor with its intrinsic beauty of transparency and pure color that could capture the radiance and excitement of St. Thomas.Β
It wasn’t long before locals and visitors expressed their love for his work. Β
The Virgin Isle Hilton, then Bluebeard’s Castle commissioned tropical landscapes for all their rooms. Β
It was said that so many of his originals mysteriously went missing after guests checked out that hotel managers were forced to bolt his work to the walls.
Even the Danish Royal family fell in love with his paintings.
There are thousands of his creations hanging in private collections throughout the world!Β
Today, he has a studio from which the Gluck method of painting is taught.
Larry loves to open new worlds for his students–a world where anyone is free to create and express themselves, to celebrate the glory and beauty of life through art.
When people unblock their creativity and begin to grow as artists, they become happier, healthier and enjoy longer lives. ~ Larry Gluck
